I have been out of town, out of reach and out of time, but I found this today and thought it was lovely and should be shared. Vive the new romantics!

superboyWhen I was a young boy living in the shared bedroom at the old family home, my brother and I would jump across from one bed to the other, convinced that the more we did this, vast super powers of flight were being stowed upon us and that he and I would become eventually, the crime fighting superhero double act! This of course and unfortunately never came into fruition, mostly due to my brothers urge to travel to Oxford and become an actor, and my decision that such dreams should be locked away, in the memories of a happy, carefree childhood. However despite this disregard for the realisation of an impossible dream, fragments have stayed with us; they hide laying dormant until they hear that remarkable fanfare from Superman or Star Wars, tunes so inspiring; they would have you believe that anything in your life was possible! Shivers race up…
